Easy Access Shower Renovation | Otley | More Bathrooms

Published: 20 March 2025

Renovation Brief:

Mr. and Mrs. Askham found More Bathrooms online and visited our Otley Showroom before booking their design appointment with Showroom Consultant, Laura. They wanted to replace their bath with an easy access shower room enclosure to improve accessibility, without compromising on style.

They also aimed to create a more spacious feel by removing furniture and using natural stone-effect tiles for a timeless, cottage-inspired aesthetic.

Bathroom Design:

Senior Designer Michelle proposed a sliding door shower enclosure with a built-in seat, offering ease of use while maintaining a spa-like atmosphere. Wavy grab rails were included for support without compromising on style.

A dust grey vanity unit with chrome accents, an illuminated mirror with a shaver socket, and a raised-height, close-coupled toilet provided both functionality and modern appeal. To complete the look, rose-washed oak flooring was chosen to tie together the natural tones of the tiles and furniture.

Bathroom Installation:

Installations Surveyor Joe ensured precise measurements, setting the stage for a seamless transformation. Multi-Skilled Fitter Mark executed the installation with expert craftsmanship, bringing the design to life with exceptional attention to detail.

Customer Trustpilot Review:

"The service from Mark and Kirk was very good. A couple of snags were sorted very quickly. If I was being honest, I may have chosen a different sink to the one in the design—didn’t see it before signing up and it’s too small (front to back)."

Conclusion:

This easy access shower room design demonstrates how accessibility and elegance can seamlessly coexist. With Michelle’s expert design, Joe’s meticulous surveying, and Mark’s skilled installation, Mr. and Mrs. Askham now enjoy a stylish, spacious shower room, that meets their needs while preserving their home’s cottage charm.
