Easy Access Shower Case Study | Ilkley | West Yorkshire

Problem:
Mr & Mrs Eaton had a small and tidy 3-piece bathroom suite that consisted of a bath with overhead shower, pedestal basin and closed coupled WC. Fully tiled in large whisper cream tiles the existing space required a stylish and accessible update in the form of a shower room conversion for ease of access and future proofing requirements due to increased difficulty getting in and out of the bath.
Solution:
Initially visiting our Harrogate Bathroom Showroom for inspiration and to get a better feel for our business and full design and fit offering both Mr & Mrs Eaton were impressed by our people and processes and decided to book a design appointment with Senior Designer, Garry. Wanting to create a safe and stylish space the couple had already decided that one of our easy access showers would be an ideal solution for their bathing requirements but wanted further help and advice with regards to a design and finishing touches.
Outcome:
Following a detailed site visit and on-going revisions prior to installation with regards to product choices the finished bath to easy access shower room conversion was meticulously achieved by multi-skilled installer, Paul, whose attention to detail was commended by both Mr & Mrs Eaton.
The existing bath was removed and replaced with a level access, anti-slip, walk-in shower and featured a bespoke modern corian bench to allow for sit down use. Concealing the water in the wet area the shower also included a stylish glass flipper screen, external shower control and stylish wavy grab bar.
Opting for an egonomic, low maintainance design, wall hung sanitary ware was also incorporated with all pipework concealed behind a purpose built stud wall for a clean, flush, finish. Concluding the renovation off beautifully was the floor and wall coverings which included a tiled mosiac feature wall in the shower area and complimentary travatene tiles to the remaining three walls.

Joe our surveyor was very helpful over final design tweaks. He again was readily available and happy to change items, our basin for example, when we changed our minds refit.
I know everyone is important in the project but our main accolade goes to Paul our brilliant fitter. Such a thoughtful and considerate person, especially as we were in the midst of the Corona Virus. He is a first class craftsman and we could not have asked for anyone better. Everything has been completed to a very high standard without any fuss or mess. Well done and thank you to everyone.
