Family Bathroom Case Study | Leeds | West Yorkshire
Published: 20 April 2016
Problem:
Mr Nurden had a 4 piece bathroom suite consisting of a low step shower enclosure with glass sliding door, end-to-end enclosed bath, back-to-wall WC and separate wall hung vanity basin unit. The room was half tiled in a colour variation of beige and cream mosaics to the walls with large white tiles to the floor. Although the suite wasn’t overly dated and still in good working order Mr Nurden wanted to invest in refurbishing this key room in the home while planning for future requirements.
Solution:
More Bathrooms Surveyor & Designer, Nigel Dawson, worked with Mr Nurden to understand exactly what he was hoping to achieve within the refurbishment works. A very thorough and calculated individual, Mr Nurden was keen to explore all possible solutions and wanted to really understand the features, advantages & benefits of all the options available to him before making a decision.
Fully appreciating the need and desire to thoroughly understand all choices, Nigel proposed a series of options based on previous discussions of what he believed Mr Nurden was seeking. The primary focus of the refurbishment was to be the shower area with a requirement to propose a number of stylish & accessible solutions in order to plan for any future woes with ease of access.
Outcome:
Aside from slightly tweaking the layout of the refurbished suite by means of swapping the location of the WC & pedestal basin the 4 piece bathroom suite was pretty much left as was, aside from updating of fixtures. The key focus area was that of the shower which saw the conversion of a low step shower enclosure to a large and accessibly stylish wet floor shower solution. The existing bath was also removed and reinstalled with a more modern alternative and the room finished in a clean and refreshing ditto grey tile to the shower, walls & floor space.
what mr nurden said about more bathrooms:
“Excellent! Very pleased with everything - high quality and very professional.”
